10/26 Best of the Week!

This week it’s all about the mind’s eye – imagination.

On a little quiet street near Lynwood Center is a collection of smallish homes on good sized lots that are waiting for the kind of owners that have been living in this one for a few years. This is a darling sleeper of a neighborhood just waiting to be reborn.  With the reawakening of Lynwood Center, imagine the enhanced value of this home in just a few short years!

Kim McLaughlin’s listing at 5348 Ruby Place (MLS#289260) is this week’s winner! This little bungalow gives a whole new meaning to living large in under 1000 square feet. The home has been completely and lovingly redone by its current owners. A living room wall has been opened to reveal a lovely and spacious new kitchen and dining area. This causes the main living areas of the home to fill with light and gives it a wonderful new feeling of space.

Custom bookshelves flank the cozy fireplace and quartz counter tops and a farm sink give great character to the new kitchen. New flooring throughout is shiny but casual dark hardwood giving the small floorplan unity. Outdoors you will find a spacious yard with fruit trees and lovely deck and brick patio. Did I mention the 2 car attached garage? You really could move right in . . .

Enjoy!

Pick of the Week 9/29/11

What a gorgeous fall day for the tour here on Bainbridge! I started the day all bundled against the significant nip in the air and by noon I had WAY too many layers on!

This Best of the Week post is about more than First Impressions. This week it’s about all around Value, Location and Attention to Detail.  Tucked in the northeast corner of the complex at 132 Halls Brothers Loop #102 was Jackie Syvertsen’s (Windermere) brokers’ tour open house.

It would be hard to imagine a better choice for someone looking for an efficient, attractive dwelling with room for the occasional weekend guest. The owners have done some wonderful customization that will work for almost anyone. It’s an end unit with lots of light with lattice screens increasing the intimacy of the private lanai and views of greenery through the windows.

Did I mention location?  . . . and a great latte right next door?  Way to go, Jackie!

Best of the Week 9/15/11

OK … I have to preface this with some disclaimers.

First, the best of the week will not be about price. Nor will it be specifically about location, size, staging or anything else. The best of the week will be more about First Impressions - which, now that I think about it, could have something to with almost any of the above.

At any rate, who knows better than we in the industry how important first impressions are. Often, a first impression is the only thing a buyer will remember about a given property. Right?

So  our (my) very 1st Best of the Week is (ta-da …)  Bill and Chris’s listing at 10902 Bill Point Court! MLS # 274452. Great gardens, great attention to detail in the remodel – great First Impression!!

BI Best of the Week

OK … Here’s the plan for this blog. I’m sure you know that each week on Thursday morning local brokers tour properties which are held open for us to become familiar with “what’s new” or “”what’s improved” or “what we missed last time there were too many to see in 3 hours”. etc. Right? OK.
So … each Thursday I will post information on the “Best of Tour” as I and my High Point mates see it. I’ll let you know why we voted it the best, if it will be open to the public on the weekend and other important stuff. That’s it! I’m sure as word spreads this will become a most coveted award … and YOU, dear reader, will be “in the know” …  Ciao!
